Open Question: Good idea for vacation/long weekend away for parents?

I would like to get my parents a long weekend away somewhere nice but affordable? I'm not sure if I should use a travel agent, or utilize one of the many sites online. What can you suggest for a travel destination for a long weekend during the winter? I'm located in NJ..and was figuring a short cruise away, a bed and breakfast in the Myrtle Beach area, or a bed and breakfast in the Lancaster/Gettysburg ares of PA.
